With a passion for movement and communication, Nadia was naturally drawn to teaching and adventure guiding at a young age. Her time spent with her family exploring the outdoors fostered her desire to share how amazing the connection to mother nature can be. Blending yoga with self-propelled sports such as skiing and surfing has become a natural evolution of her practice and guides her heart into finding balance and joy.
Constantly inspired by her students and the ever changing elements around her, Nadia teaches with an intuitive style, guiding students to explore their practice within their own physical and emotional boundaries. She believes in the invigorating force of collective practice and feels blessed to be walking down the path of yoga. In her heart, everyday offers an opportunity to harvest the power we hold in embodying the flow of life and living yoga, in all it’s forms.
Nadia has been teaching yoga since 2003 and is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher. She is a student of Shiva Rea, Christopher Tompkins and Jessica Freidman. Is also a graduate of the MokSana Yoga Centre Teacher Training program and is currently part of the amazing Prana Flow train at the Samudra School of Living Yoga.
She holds a degree in Adventure Tourism and Environmental Studies with specializations in outdoor guiding, ecological restoration and tropical herbology. Has an extensive background in classical dance and most recently in flamenco and capoeira. In addition to teaching yoga, she works as an environmental consultant and believes that sustainability is a quality transferable to all layers of her practice.
Her work in the yoga and ecotourism business has allowed her to share and learn with communities in New-Zealand, Australia, Europe, Central America, Quebec, and Vancouver Island. Everyday she finds herself inspired by her son’s captivating blue eyes, her husband’s unconditional love and her wholehearted network of family and friends. She lives in Mont-Tremblant with her family and feels amazed to have this life opportunity of being a yoga facilitator.
