Parul is the founder, manager and principal teacher of Infusion Dance Studios, www.infusiondance.ca. She is of East Indian background, born and raised in Montreal and has been studying dance for 25 years. Parul’s diverse dance background inspired her to develop Indian Contemporary Dance – a fusion of Indian Classical Dance, Contemporary Jazz, and Urban Dance. Through this art form, Parul brings the East and West sides of her culture together in her own modern style. She strongly believes that dance should be performed with strong technique and instinctive expression. As she is committed to continually advancing her skills, Parul trains with reputable dance teachers in both Canada and in India. Her scholastic degrees include a Master in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science.
Parul has connected with several local artists: She contributed to two Cirque du Soleil productions: “Love”, and the opening celebration of “Kooza”. She is the chief choreographer for Indian Fusion band “Josh”. Recently, Parul presented her work at Red Cross and Fem International fundraisers in support of financial aid in India. In 2008, Parul will be participating in an international dance conference in India. Her goal is to promote Indian Contemporary Dance in Canada.
Parul believes that dance is for everyone and within everyone. By immersing herself in dance, she finds her true inner spirit. In sharing her passion, she hopes to help others connect with themselves through dance.
