Joyful Yoga & SWFL Stand Up
Heather Olson first began practicing yoga at Joyful Yoga in Bonita Springs in 2008. As a high school teacher responsible for educating young minds and managing classrooms full of teenagers every day she quickly found that yoga was a beautiful way to restore and reenergize. Yoga has impacted her life in such a positive manner that in 2011 she completed her RYT200, so that she could bring the same joy to others.
While finishing her yoga teacher training, Heather was encouraged by the owners of South West Florida Stand Up to try paddle yoga. The first time she stood on water in mountain pose, Heather found the perfect place of peace and balance, and she wishes to bring that sense of freedom and accomplishment to as many people as possible. From SUP Yoga she has learned that the best way to reach any goal is to fall in a few times, make a splash, and always get right back on the board!
Heather is a BOGA Yoga as well as a Lululemon Athletica Ambassador. She currently teaches weekly yoga classes at South West Florida Standup (paddle yoga), Joyful Yoga, and leads Rancho Margot yoga retreats in Costa Rica. Her classes are fun-filled as she continuously encourages students to take risks and revel in the falling as well as the flying, in both yoga and in life. She strives to teach people to take their yoga off of the mat and into their daily lives, where they can discover peace and balance in all elements of existence.
