Abby Bales has been a certified personal trainer for nine years here in NYC and taught group fitness classes in college before that. She has incorporated her love of sports, dance, yoga and running into her training to create unique, specialized workouts for each of her clients. As a runner for over 20 years and a 9-time (and counting!) marathon finisher, Abby knows what it takes to get across finish lines of all kind. Jess Underhill

Fit Chick in the City

Jess is the writer behind Fit Chick in the City. She's originally from Nashville, TN but has called New York City home for the past 11 years. Jess is a fitness expert, run coach with over 14 years of experience in the industry. She has her MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion as well as a BS in Business Administration. Molly Lehman

House of Jai

Molly Lehman teaches yoga privately and to groups all over the Upper East Side. Her many years of experience teaching kinetic therapy heavily influences her ability to tailor to the individual. She is certified at the 600hr level through Sri Dharma Mittra, which heavily inspires her Vinyasa teaching style. Molly continues to reflect back on the wisdom gathered from her years of Iyengar yoga and dancing, infusing her classes with precise alignment and creative sequencing. Molly believes that in the process of opening the body, yoga practioners will open their hearts, finding compassion for themselves and for all others. Almost a decade ago, when Sara first stepped onto her yoga mat, she fell in love. Yoga has given her a newfound awareness and connection to her body, mind and spirit that she wants her students to also experience. As a certified yoga instructor, Sara's powerful Vinyasa sequences are built around trusting the body while allowing the breath to lead the way. Shaun Jenkins


Shaun Robert Jenkins is a native New Yorker born and raised in Brooklyn, he attended South Kent Prep School in Connecticut, and Union College in Schenectady NY. He has always been an athlete, spending many years playing football and lacrosse throughout high school and college. After college Shaun began to study various forms of martial arts to stay in shape and find spiritual harmony, eventually settling into the art form Hung Gar Kung Fu and he continues to build daily on his knowledge of this discipline. Shaun entered the personal training world four years ago as a career change and began personal training at Equinox, quickly advancing to a Tier 3 Plus trainer.
