Britton Darby

Britton is a professional contemporary dancer, dance teacher and yoga teacher. Her love for dance began the moment she could move to a beat. Britton trained and performed from the age of 3 - 20 with the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre in Toronto, Canada and began assistant teaching dance at age 15.

Britton was immediately intrigued by the emotional and physical healing benefits of yoga after taking her first Moksha Hot Yoga class in Toronto Canada with Moksha Yoga founders; Ted Grand and Jessica Robertson. Britton began a devoted yoga practice and become a certified Moksha yoga Teacher in 2005. Britton went on to study dance and Anatomy at LADMMI in Montreal, Canada and Social Sciences in a BA program from Concordia University. Britton deepened her yoga knowledge in studying Iyengar yoga with Hart Lazer, Power Vinyasa yoga with Dina Tsouluhas and is currently studying Embodied Anatomy and Kinesiology with Amy Matthews in New York City at the Breathing Project.

Britton spent 9 years teaching yoga at Moksha Yoga studios around the world, from Trinidad and Tobago to Montreal, Canada. and is currently working on one of her "Passion Projects" - Yoga for Dancers! A Yoga class specifically designed to compliment a dancers health and training regime.

In January 2012, Britton opened the first Moksha Yoga studio in New York city with her 3 amazingly talented partners and she is so thrilled by the positive response from New York City Yogi's.
