New York City : Union Square

Kristen Driscoll

Kristen stumbled into her first yoga class in downtown Manhattan sometime in the spring of 2002. At the time, she was an indie music publicist, spending far more time in rock clubs than health clubs.  After a few months of struggling at Bikram Yoga Soho, swearing most every class that she would
never come back, things slowly began to change.  It was definitely not love at first stretch, but she somehow realized that yoga was beginning to have a profound healing effect in her life. A few years later, in one whirlwind week, Kristen quit her job, got in her car and drove to Los Angeles for Bikram training. She was certified to teach in the Fall of 2004. Since receiving her certification, she has been teaching full time in New York City.

As Kristen became more involved in the New York yoga community, she began to hear a lot of talk about Dharma Mittra, and finally made her way to the Dharma Yoga Center. Awed by Dharma's presence, and eager to learn as much as she could from him, Kristen enrolled in the Dharma Mittra Life of a Yogi 200 hour training program. She received her certification in the Fall of 2008.
