New York Sports Club
Monica has been a Master Trainer with New York Sports Clubs in New York City since 2005. After losing 65 pounds, she became a Trainer, Marathoner and Triathlete. She is notorious for singing while taking clients on long runs and teaching them how to enjoy a hard workout in the gym. She also works with deaf clientele using American Sign Language.
A dedicated Bikram Yogi and one who enjoys skydiving, Monica believes in balancing the mind, body and spirit to achieve optimum health and quality of life. She encourages friends, family and clients to strengthen the five qualities of the mind (as preached by Bikram): Faith, Self-Control, Determination, Concentration and Patience. Strength in these qualities leads to motivation and ultimate success.
Her clients range from healthy teens to seniors with extensive physical challenges. They are provided with guidance and advice, from beginners looking to lose weight and get healthy to those who must make adjustments to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She has been a lecturer at Corporate Wellness Talks and Workshops with New York Sports Clubs for the last five years and is presently developing a series of workshops and seminars in New York City and overseas.
Monica has been featured on Fox 5's Good Day New York, NBC's LxTV, WPIX's PIX11 Morning News, and Long Island News Tonight. She also has been featured in radio interviews with New York City’s 106.7 Lite FM.
She has appeared as a trainer and model in Fitness Magazine and has worked on articles with Runners World Magazine, The Daily News and iVillage.com. She lives and breathes the active lifestyle she preaches.
She is absolutely thrilled and honored to be an active part of the Lululemon community. Nothing makes her happier than sharing her love and enthusiasm for health and fitness with such a wonderful, supportive group of people. Dreams really do come true. She hopes her relationship with the Lululemon family will help her touch more lives and make even more dreams come true for others.
Her training mantra: “Breathe. Focus. Believe in Yourself.”
