I'm fitness and public relations professional, and I have has been coaching various
sports for over a decade. It all started with football when in university I got a
serious back injury (herniated disk and pinched nerve) and I couldn't play anymore.
So I started helping out with the local high school team, and I got hooked!

I picked up triathlon in the early 2000's to learn something new and to push myself
on a different level. I have since competed in over 50 races from sprint triathlons
to marathons and Ironman, all over North America. I'm somewhat competitive and since
I was the last one in the family to do Ironman, I had to go and set the family
record! After being approached by the City to teach an "intro to triathlon" class, I
decided to become a Certified Spinning instructor. And then I became an NCCP-trained
triathlon coach to help people get into the wonderful world of triathlon.

I'm also one of 12 certified ChiRunning instructors in Canada, having completed my
instructor training in California and teaching with ChiRunning founder Danny Dreyer
in Florida. I've taught the technique to close to 100 people around Canada in 2010
alone. ChiRunning brings together the energy of running, proper bio-mechanics and
the philosophies of TaiChi in order to move with the laws of nature. The technique
has helped countless people start to run, run further and faster and all the while
keeping the injuries at bay.

As an instructor, media personality and an active public speaker, I try to
bring a diverse and entertaining approach to my sessions. I'm looking forward to
helping people run injury-free, doing some in-store talks and running with the Lulu
Run Club in 2011!
