Mia St-Aubin has been involved in the fitness world since she was a little girl. Influenced by her mother’s national triathlon achievements, she began running competitively when she was 10 years-old. In university Mia competed on the varsity cross country team where she achieved many provincial standards and stood as the manager of the team during her graduating year. She also was a member of the varsity track and field team where she competed in meets such as the Harvard University Invitational, the Ontario Track and Field Association Eastern Canadian High Performance Series as well as the Ottawa High Performance Twilight Series. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours double major in Criminology and Psychology. Upon her graduation Mia travelled to Thailand where she trained for and competed in her first ever triathlon as well as many other road races during her year spent there. Upon her return, Mia became a certified Can-Fit Pro Personal Trainer reaching the Elite level status with the company she worked for. During her two years with the company, Mia obtained a full roster of clients working with athletes, weight loss clients and rehabilitation clients ranging from ages 18-56, each with different goals. Mia now runs her own personal training business with a specialization in running and runners. She currently trains and competes with the Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club and is also a member of the Canadian Para-National Guide Running Program. In 2010 Mia attended a national level training camp in Australia and then again in Florida with the Canadian Para-National Team. She has worked with head coaches from the Para-National team such as David Creig and former Team Canada coach Hugh Conlin. She currently trains and works with Noella Klawitter, a Canadian Para-National Team Athletic Member.?Mia is a NCCP level one certified Track and Field coach as well as a certified NCCP Run, Jump, Throw coach and was a coach with the Ottawa Lions Summer Camp Program. Mia believes in fitness as a lifestyle. She believes that everyone has the capabilities to achieve great things and that fitness is an avenue in which great things can be achieved. By strengthening your body, you strengthen your mind, and in turn, strengthen your life.
