A Florida Native, natural born water lover, and newcomer to the Jupiter area Kim DePasquale has been making waves and is destined to share her passion with the world… Stand Up Paddleboarding. Growing up in the surf and sand, enjoying the views from a sailboat, a fishing boat, or from behind a snorkel, it’s no surprise her passion for the water is infectious.
Kim is a certified Level II Paddle Fit instructor, CPR & Emergency First Respond Instructor, as well as a 200 E-RYT. Many may refer to Kim as a Sea and Sand Ambassador.
In 2008, she combined her two passions SUP and yoga creating a class called YOW (yoga on water). She says it gives students the opportunity to enjoy their yoga practice in many new beautiful environments while floating on a paddleboard. Kim says that the only thing better than the experience itself, is sharing it with others. No experience required… just an open heart, an open mind, and the desire to enjoy a liberating and transformational experience.
Kim also likes to kick it in gear with Cardio Paddle and Paddle Fit and trains and competes in events along the coast. Kim just starting to race and finishing 2nd place in the Surf SUP division at the 2012 Key West Classic she is currently training for the 12 mile race around Key West in 2013.
Whether on land or at sea Kim’s classes are infused with her own eclectic style of practicing a Kundalini/Prana Vinyasa flow including pranayama, asanas, kriyas & guided meditation. Kimberly is very connected to all the elements and enjoys adding nature’s ambiance into her class. For the water-lovers you can find Kimberly at Blueline Paddle Surf in Jupiter. Land lovers can find Kim teaching at the beach or at Kula Yoga Shala.
She is very grateful for the many wonderful teachers in her life Mother Earth, her daughters Peyton and Ashtyn, amazing husband Sean, Shiva Rea, Paulie Zink, Mukunda Styles, David Swenson, Sampuran Khalsa, Scott Feinberg, Ma Jai, Amrit Desai & Saul David Raye to name a few.
Kim’s advice for life “ Let the sun warm your heart, the wind free your mind and the water soothe your soul. ”
