As a native Floridian, Suzanne has always enjoyed an active, outdoor lifestyle. Her passions included fitness classes, jogging and strength training. The possibility of competing in a race seemed a distant goal, but became reality as her experience and endurance grew.
In January of 2006, Suzanne ran the Race for the Cure, her first competitive race. From there she continued to enter races and perfect her personal best times. After several races she qualified for the Boston Marathon not once, but twice; in 2008 and 2010. Unable to run because of a foot injury, she became more focused on strength training, swimming and biking which led her towards her next goal of competing in triathlons. After a few years of triathlon racing, she completed Ironman Florida in November 2010. Although being married with an 18 and 7 year old keeps her busy, lifting weights, running, biking, swimming and competing is a cornerstone to Suzanne’s long competitive career.
