David’s 2 passions in life go hand in hand: eating and running. When he is not Personal Training, it’s safe to say he is either training for his next running race or in the kitchen fuelling his body applying his Nutrition degree to cook up a storm. David is a true testament to the fact that anyone can and should give running a go. Although he has a club foot and considerable leg and foot length difference, he has not prevented that from stopping him reach his goals. Recently he completed his first Marathon in Zurich in 2 hours and 57 minutes and is regularly towards the front of the pack in local fun runs. Lloyd Johnson is a Sports Scientist, ZUU Master Trainer and the owner of Aspire Personal Training & Aspire Performance in Perth, Western Australia. Lloyd is a Level 1 Master Trainer in ZUU and a qualified Exercise Scientist, having completed his Bachelor of Science: Exercise and Health Degree at the University of Western Australia in 2009. Since the age of 9, he has been heavily involved in rugby union representing Western Australia & Queensland regularly and reaching a semi-professional level as an inaugural member of the Western Force Academy in 2006. I started life as a farmer near Kojonup down south. My desire to travel and experience other cultures and countries kicked in around 1989. So I left the farm and went to South Africa, where 6 weeks turned into 15 MONTHS! While there I learned to fly and travelled extensively through the sub-Saharan countries. I then moved on to South America and spent a year traveling mostly like a local, on buses, trains, horses, hiking etc, eventually visiting every country on that continent. I then moved up through central America, finally crossing into the US from Mexico after another 3 months. It was in LA that I was introduced to yoga, which I immediately knew was the most powerful thing I could do to maintain my health. That was 1992. Running is Moira's way of life. Growing up on a farm, Moira spent many hours running through the paddocks and keeping fit with her sisters. After moving to the city for high school, Moira saw success in running, at both a state and national level, racing a variety of distances between 800m and 21km. With a variety of leadership roles such as Sports, Athletics and Cross Country Captain throughout high school, as well as for the Western Australian State Cross Country team, Moira found enjoyment in encouraging others to reach their potential. Phoebe Jones, from YOGAWORX, teaches a delicious, holistic style of vinyasa flow using the importance of the asana practice, the breathing, meditation, philosophy and sweet tunes within her classes. Rhyanna is an experienced yoga instructor based in Perth WA. Her passion is bringing balance, clarity, strength and joy to the day to day lives of everybody through yoga practise. After experimenting with yoga extensively whilst living in Sydney, Rhyanna travelled and lived in remote locations around the world whilst building her own practise. After a stint residing in Thailand, she completed my first official yoga teacher training in Singapore, with Tirisula yoga.
