I started life as a farmer near Kojonup down south. My desire to travel and experience other cultures and countries kicked in around 1989. So I left the farm and went to South Africa, where 6 weeks turned into 15 MONTHS! While there I learned to fly and travelled extensively through the sub-Saharan countries. I then moved on to South America and spent a year traveling mostly like a local, on buses, trains, horses, hiking etc, eventually visiting every country on that continent. I then moved up through central America, finally crossing into the US from Mexico after another 3 months. It was in LA that I was introduced to yoga, which I immediately knew was the most powerful thing I could do to maintain my health. That was 1992. After 5 years of almost daily practice I completed teacher training with the Yogaworks crew in Santa Monica. While in LA I also studied acting which made teaching more enjoyable.... no stage fright! After almost 18 years in LA, I returned to Perth, and developed Yogaworx with Wendy, whom I had met on one of my return visits to Perth. We now have four other teachers and two locations running 16 classes each week, and 3 classes per week at PLC!
