Dhyana D'Amato-Vitarelli

Dhyana Yoga

Dhyana was born and raised in Philadelphia, moved to Southern California in 1989, and did her formal Yoga training there in the Ashtanga and Kundalini traditions before returning home in 2002 to open Dhyana Yoga. Her Yoga experience was at first just something to do that was relaxing in her busy life, but over time it ended up being the thing that helped her crawl out from under a lifetime emotional struggles. The moments of peace experienced in Yoga and Meditation helped her appreciate the gift of life, and naturally a desire to share this realization with others arose. In addition to practicing yoga, Dhyana loves teaching, spending time with her dogs, music, dark chocolate, the smell of amber, SCUBA, finding the perfect gift for someone, travel, reading, Aperol, and puzzles. John Goldthorp

A bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University (’00) formed the foundation of my movement education and I’m an ACE Certified Personal Trainer which allows me to work with clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds. More recently, I’ve become interested in a new, state of the art approach to training involving movement, rather than isolated muscles or joints. If I get my client to move better – at the fundamental level – they will run better as a result. I utilize a screening tool called the Functional Movement Screen to help identify your weakest link and we go from... Read the profile >>

Noelle Burgoyne

Bikram College of Philadelphia

Noelle took her first yoga class in 1999 at a tiny "gorilla" Bikram yoga studio in Queen Village, Philadelphia. More akin to a closet than a studio, the room was hardly big enough for five mats. Despite these close quarters, Noelle was immediately hooked on the yoga, and she continued to practice as she traveled up and down the Eastern seaboard, from Philadelphia to New York to Gainesville, Fl and finally back to Philly. Wherever she moved, she sought out a Bikram studio. While on occasion she threw an Iyengar or a Vinyasa class into the mix, she was always drawn back to the hot room. Bikram’s 26 postures and two breathing exercises were like a mantra that she was compelled to repeat again and again. As she deepened her practice, Noelle began to consider getting certified to...
