I started practicing yoga in 1999. My love for all styles of yoga has grown and I am always eager to learn more. I am excited by the limitless places one can go on their mat. Yoga has brought me a sense of stability and ease, more clarity and insight, strength and compassion, more flexibility and control. It gives me a sense of fearlessness that I take off my mat every day. I am challenged by my practice and strive to honor my physical and my spiritual body each and every time I lay my mat down. After graduating from college in Los Angeles, CA, Katie needed a side job to be able to keep living by the beach. She found a small, boutique studio in Santa Monica where she worked the front desk checking people in for spinning, barre, and yoga. After being persuaded to try spin class by a co-worker she clipped in for the first time and was hooked by the music, the motivating instructor and the amount of hard work and sweat that the class called for. She was motivated to take the Mad Dogg Spinning certification in California. After completion, she was put in as a substitute when teachers couldn't make their allotted time slot and began to gain experience. Roz has been teaching yoga since 2009 when she attended the yoga teacher training program at At One Yoga. In 2013 Roz was honored to join teaching in Sutra Midtown's yoga teacher training program, educating and inspiring a new generation of instructors. Yoga classes lead by Roz are fun and challenging, set to great tunes, with emphasis on breath and proper alignment. Practitioners leave feeling inspired, uplifted, and refreshed. Roz loves not only the physical benefits of this healing practice of yoga, and helping people feel more comfortable in their own skin; Roz also understands the mental release is truly the best form of anxiety relief.
