LA took her first heated power yoga class on the advice of a teacher at a local gym. Not a life-long athlete, LA was surprised at how quickly she learned to love the way yoga makes her feel and hasn’t stopped practicing since. She is in awe of the way the practice has empowered her to become both an athlete and someone with a more quiet mind.
LA has 200 hours of power vinyasa yoga training with a local Pittsburgh power yoga studio and is currently advancing her teaching through study with Elena Brower in New York City at Virayoga’s advanced teacher training on the “Art of Attention”. She includes Bryan Kest, Kathryn Budig, and Elena Brower among her biggest influences as a vinyasa yoga teacher.
LA is honored and driven to teach inspired power yoga. Her classes are lit with fun sequencing and in-the-moment observations and she hopes to infuse her students’ practices with levity, humor, and kindness. She feels lucky to continue to teach and assist yoga experiences including classes held at the National Aviary, the Mattress Factory Museum, and on the Andy Warhol Bridge. She is a traveler at heart and when she’s not in the studio, LA can be found reading, writing, and planning her next trip. You can check out LA’s website at: http://www.lafinfinger.com/.
