Lisa first ventured into Amazing Yoga’s Shadyside studio in 2005, in support of a friend who had begun teaching there. A fitness junkie and former dancer, Lisa quickly fell in love with the athleticism of power vinyasa yoga. Her mat became a place to confront her weaknesses and strengthen them, rather than to exploit her strengths. In 2009, she signed up for Amazing Yoga’s 200hr Teacher Training with the intention of increasing her knowledge and exploring her own practice on a deeper level. Before the end of her training, she found a strong desire to share this incredible practice with as many people as possible, thus the beginning of her teaching career. Since her first teacher training, Lisa has completed a 100hr advanced teacher training, and has attended weekend workshops and master classes with Kathryn Budig, Bryan Kest, Natasha Rizopoulos, Gregor Singleton, Claire Este McDonald, Seane Corn, and many others. These experiences nourish her soul and fuel her desire to continue growing as both a student and teacher. There is always an opportunity to grow and learn, no matter your age or circumstance. Lisa teaches powerful yet playful alignment based classes full of humor and lightness (and core work). She challenges her students to realize that their potential is limitless, and that joy can be found in every situation. On her mat, Lisa enjoys standing on anything but her feet. Off her mat, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
