Bliss found yoga back in 2001, a midst making some challenging life decisions - thrilled to find the peace of mind that accompanies yoga, it became her new-found therapy - while at the time, being a single mom, student, and employee, she found her mat to be the place to reconnect with her true self -- always proving to reunite her with her inner strength, peace and a sense of well-being and freedom - wanting to share that, she became a certified yoga instructor - Bliss is a graduate of the Yoga Movement Center’s 2008 Advanced Studies/Teacher Training program in Walnut Creek, CA and of the 2013 Boga Yoga Teacher Training (stand up paddle board yoga) – She enjoys teaching classes (individual and group) throughout the East Bay Area. Candace started practicing yoga about 8 years ago and right away began to notice the connection she felt to her true self. Always a more quiet and shy person, yoga has taught her how to be more comfortable and confident in her own skin. She believes wholeheartedly that she fell in love with the practice because of its total integration of mind, body and spirit. She knows, through that integration, we can achieve heath and wellness. Yoga is about transformation but more importantly, its about remembering who we truly are. Getting back to ourselves, back to our truth. Megan Southern has had a love affair with health and fitness her entire life. Forced to eat Carob chips and Grape Nuts as a child, she also embarked on a journey towards nutritional enlightenment just to find better stuff to eat. After swimming collegiately for SFSU, she found a big ol’ hunk o’ man to marry. Together they set out on their life of adventure whilst schlepping along the three kids they engendered. In the early days they opened and sold Active Nutrition Center health food store. In 2003 they started a gym in their garage, which soon exceeded the neighbors capacity to be tolerant.
