My passion for health and wellness started at a young age. At 16 years old I volunteered as a nurse’s aide at a local university hospital. I then furthered my education and obtained a bachelor’s of science in Nursing from Ohio Wesleyan University. I worked most of my profession career as a nurse in the medical intensive care unit. It is here that I first witnessed the undeniable connection of the mind, body and soul.
In 1999 I took my first yoga class. I knew very quickly that this was my next path of wellness. For me personally, my mat became my home to find harmony in my body, mind, and spirit - a place of nourishment for the soul. My love and passion grew tremendously for yoga and I discovered a need to share with others. Yoga became a place to shine my light and help others reveal their light as well.
In 2006 I started teaching Power Vinyasa Yoga. I provide a safe, alignment-based, challenging, music-filled experience for yogis. I want to help others find balance, awakefulness, openness, strength, surrender, and gratitude in themselves and for life.
I’ve trained with Baron Baptiste, Seane Corn, Brock and Krista Cahill, and Aimee Senise Bohn. I have been inspired by Rusty wells, Vinnie Marino, Dana Flynn, Raghunath, Jonny Kest, David Romanelli, David Regelin, Briohny Smyth & Dice Lida-Klein.
When I am not on my mat I love to spend time with my husband and three beautiful girls. I love to run, cycle, and play paddle tennis.
I love to feel one breath away from a handstand or a dance party.
