Kelsey hails from a family of coaches and athletes of every variety in Central California. She found her initial passion in volleyball and was recruited to play at the University of California, San Diego. During her time at UCSD, the Tritons remained nationally ranked all four years of her tenure and made an appearance at the Division II Final Four. Unfortunately, halfway through her senior season Kelsey blew out her knee. This turn of event led her to her true passion in life, Pilates. Being a Bay Area native, I’m no stranger to the life and culture of San Francisco. Wanting to strike out on my own, I joined the US Navy right out of high school. After 6 years of working on nuclear powered submarines, I realized that the engineering world wasn’t for me. During my time in the navy I had the great opportunity to meet some Navy SEALs who challenged me to a workout with them. Not being one to shy away from a challenge, I took them on and immediately discovered that I am nowhere near where I could (and should) be physically and mentally.
