Moksha Yoga Saskatoon
When Leia began practicing Moksha yoga in early 2008, she came out of simple curiosity. After her first practice, Leia felt not only that she had been physically challenged, but also that she had discovered a tool to help manage stress and lead a better life. Seeing the positives changes of continuous practice in her life, Leia wanted to help bring those experiences to others. She completed the Moksha teacher training in Kerala, India in March 2010. Leia began teaching at Moksha Yoga Edmonton and is now thrilled to share her knowledge and passion for yoga as owner of Moksha Yoga Saskatoon.
Leia’s passion for yoga stems not only from a love of physical expression, but also out of her desire to connect with all people. She is grateful to witness the processes of self-discovery and personal development that occur every day in sweaty Moksha classes. Leia believes that although we may all come to yoga for different reasons, and have specific needs, we can share in a common experience through yoga; when we breathe together, our individual movements become unified. When we are present, leaving the ego at the door, we break down the barriers of the individual and build the bonds of community. We are able to better recognize that we are all the same, all sharing in the human condition. Leia feels that this just may be the most important lesson that students can take off the mat.
