After growing up in Oregon, Susan moved to Seattle in 1992 and now happily calls it home. She lives in the Roosevelt neighborhood and is often seen running around Greenlake, attending Crossfit classes, or playing at the park with her kids. She has always been active in physical fitness and spent many years as a cheerleader and cheerleading coach.
Before staying home to raise her 3 girls, she was a first grade teacher but has now moved her teaching to the gym. She has been teaching Body Pump at the Seattle Athletic Club since they launched it in March and is very excited to bring this fantastic program to Community Fitness. Her classes are high energy and fun. She believes that a successful class is one in which you sweat, work hard, challenge yourself, and laugh in equal parts. The participants in her class inspire her daily. She gets great satisfaction from watching her students get stronger mentally and physically. To her, working out is as much about being physically fit as mentally fit. Her wish is for everyone who leaves her class to leave walking taller, being stronger, and feeling better in every way.
