British born Yoga teacher, Claire Hartley, found her passion for the practice of Yoga in the early 90s at the Jivamukti Yoga Center in New York. Their signature style of vigorous flow, chanting, meditation and exploration of the ancient scriptures began to reveal that suffering could be relieved and that the ‘one-ness’ was experiential and not just a concept to be studied and discussed, for that she is eternally grateful and humbled by all the teachers that revealed this. In 2001 she moved to LA and pursued a full-time career as a teacher. Her first training program was under the tutelage of Peri Doslu. Peri introduced her to Iyengar Yoga which has become an important part of her practice and her teaching, but she remains an ardent fan and disciple of Vinyasa flow for it’s... Read the profile >>

I began my yoga journey in 1994 as a way to recover from the wear and tear on my body I was incurring as a professional cheerleader with the Los Angeles Raiders. Coming from a fitness and dance background, the movement of the practice came naturally but it wasn’t until I started my own personal mediation practice that it started to “click.” It was shortly thereafter that I truly fell in love with the practice and got my certification with Mark Blanchard. I teach 6 days a week and many workshops at our studio, including a very popular hip opener workshop. Eleven years later a beautiful union ensued with Mark, Yoga and 3 amazing children. When I teach I believe strongly each person has a yoga journey for that moment. I encourage them to find their balance between effort and... Read the profile >>
