Once my years as a dancer stopped, my physical activity took a huge drop. I was no longer “working out,” and I felt lost in the gym. Up until then, I never had to look any further than dance as a way to stay in shape. In 2005 I was introduced to the Bar Method. I was one of the first clients at the Hermosa Beach location and quickly fell in love with the workout. It integrates the fat burning format of interval training, and the elongating principles of dance conditioning. Quickly, my physique transformed back into the dancers' body I had previously been so accustomed to having. I was asked if I would be interested in getting trained and becoming a teacher, and I jumped at the opportunity. Since I became a teacher, my life has changed for the better. What I value most about my job is the way I can encourage people to push themselves physically and mentally further than they ever felt possible. Bar Method creates uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body by combining the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the body-elongating practice of dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and the intense pace of interval training into a powerful exercise format that quickly and safely reshapes and elongates muscles.
