Stephanie Thompson has always enjoyed physical activities, cheerleading and gymnastics were a part of her everyday life when she was younger. In 2001 she found her way into her first Hot Power Yoga class and it was love at first Dancers Pose. After two years of practicing 4-5 times a week she completed teacher training through a local studio and began teaching. Yearning for more training she completed her 200 Hour RYT in December of 2006. Being immersed in training was one of the best times of her life. Through various workshops, she was introduced to the world of arm balances and inversions and her world has never been the same. Her passion for yoga was intensified through the challenge of these tricky postures and the sense of accomplishment she felt from standing on her hands. She now teaches others how to safely get into arm balances and inversions, sharing the joy that these postures can produce and the confidence that comes along with them. Her classes are challenging but fun and playful.
So many great yogis including the following amazing teachers have influenced her approach to yoga: Bryan Kest, Kathryn Budig, Dice Ida Klein, and Julie Boyd.
Stephanie resides in Grapevine with her husband of 14 years, her two kids and has been blessed with numerous foster babies.
