Jenni grew up on a small farm near the town of Adrian, Oregon. In high school, Jenni competed in every sport available to her: Volleyball, Basketball, Track, and Softball. The tight knit community of teachers, coaches, farmers, parents, and neighbors inspired her to work hard to achieve her goals. After high school, Jenni attended Gonzaga University where she majored in Exercise Science and became part of another great community of leaders. She gained several lifelong friends that share her love of GU Basketball and travelling.
In 2008, Jenni began developing fitness classes designed specifically for women of all fitness levels. She called the program “Farmgirlfit” to reflect her “keep it simple, get it done” mentality towards exercise and nutrition. The success of her women’s only training program inspired the founding of the first Farmgirlfit facility in 2011. Jenni encourages her clients to revere hard work and embrace simple, nutritious food. Jenni sees fitness as a primary foundation for all other areas of life and believes that a person's health is directly related to how they view the world and their overall well-being.
Along with a B.S. in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University, Jenni holds a Crossfit Level 1 Certification and a USA Weightlifting Performance Coach Certification. Jenni practices what she teaches, and trains hard using the same methodology as the fitness classes she coaches at Farmgirlfit. She incorporates yoga, interval training, weight lifting, kettle bells, and everything in between into her regular training. This allows Jenni to remain a competitive athlete, participating in the Crossfit Regionals in 2009 and 2011, as well as various sprint triathlons and running events. She continues to be inspired by the women she trains and never backs down from an athletic challenge. She enjoys living near Manito Park with her husband Mark and English bulldog named Stockton.
