Corepower Yoga St. Paul, Corepower Yoga Highland Park,

“All things are possible for those who BELIEVE”! This is the phrase which drives kathy in all she does on and off her mat. She has proven it to be true time and time again in her experience as an NPC Bodybuilding competitor, traveling the US with a public school motivational speaking team, even making some national and international TV appearances. Kathy was first introduced to yoga while serving in the United States Air Force over on Okinawa Japan in 1998. The beautiful blend of breath, movement, mental and physical challenge was exactly what she needed. After moving back to the United States a few years later she began to compete in both NPC Figure, and NPC Bodybuilding shows. This lead to a position traveling all over the nation speaking in hundreds of public school assemblies to thousands of students. Using “feats of strength” as the vehicle to share a message of hope, hanging onto hopes and dreams, and the very important power of making good choices. In Nov of 2010 she and her husband moved to Saint Paul. After nearly 10 years of being a “gym rat”, Kathy found herself in a place looking for a new physical challenge. After stepping into a Corepower Studio on a snowy late November she immediately knew she was “home”. She was so surprised that her body recalled her yoga practice from Japan. She tossed her gym membership out and picked up a mat and has been totally dedicated to her yoga practice ever since. Kathy can be found in all classes offered at Corepower. The diversity of each practice and the challenge each offers keeps her coming back for more. In June 2011 she completed the Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training Program. Her belief in everyones potential comes through in her teaching style. Always upbeat, always pushing to the edge in a fun way. Outside of practicing yoga Kathy enjoys exploring the food scene in the Twin Cities area with her husband Jason, playing with her BFF and dog Elsa, and simply enjoying each day as it comes.
