Janice Chiou

InYoga Center, Forward Fold

Janice Chiou is a former attorney who converted to yoga once she realized that her happiest, most peaceful moments were on the mat. She then embarked on an adventure to try and bring more and more of that happiness and peace into the rest of her life, which included a major career change and a lot of yoga philosophy. Janice believes that everybody should practice yoga, not because everybody needs to stand on their heads, but because everyone could benefit from a little more happiness and peace in their lives. MIGHTYbit

I am a dreamer. I am a thriver more than just a survivor. I thrive to embody a lifestyle that is balanced, fearless and, most importantly, authentic. My journey is my own. One on which I have gained and lost. I have loved myself and I am not ashamed to say I have hated myself. I am not ashamed to say that I have berated myself. I have stumbled. I have hit that dumb rock at the very bottom. I have looked deep into darkness, and I have made the choice to stop playing victim, and instead choose light. Each day is filled with more beauty and wonder than the day before. Is each day perfect? Far from it…but then again, perfection lies in what you can overlook. Today I live without blinders, knowing that I can only be me. That being me is enough. That it’s more than... Read the profile >>
