Alarice has been practicing yoga since 2003, she holds a Post Graduate in Arts Administration, Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts, Samadhi Yoga 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, Yoga Synergy Anatomy & Physiology, Yin Yoga intensive with Sarah Powers, Training with Power Living Australia and has also spent 3 months practicing yoga in India. Over the years Alarice has found that her practice has developed into a new way of living, a more holistic way of being. After a change of direction from a competitive hockey background due to a chronic back injury, yoga steered Jacqui into a love for health and a fascination for the mind. In 2010, Jacqui completed her Bachelor of Advanced Science with Honours in Psychology. Yoga has been an important support for Jacqui throughout, creating a space outside the intellectual. She completed her Teacher Training with Duncan Peak in 2009 and has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Kathryn Budig and Noah Maze. In her classes, Jacqui takes a joyful, youthful approach, blending modern psychological themes with long-standing yogic philosophies (and a few dad jokes thrown in here and there!). My love for keeping fit & healthy started when I was nine years old growing up in the UK. I was fortunate to have an amazing sports teacher at this time who convinced me that I was a good runner and should consider joining the school cross country team. I was a shy kid with terribly goofy teeth and was often the brunt of the school playground jokes. Running was my escape, it gave me a sense of freedom to be me. I fell in love everything about running and had some wonderful coaches in my teenage years and represented at a national level as well as representing England in schoolgirls cross country. Lyndsey was born and raised in the UK, but it wasn't until she spread her wings and went traveling off to far reaching shores that she discovered her curiosity for the wisdom traditions and their teachings. Initially drawn to the physical aspects of a yoga asana practice to compliment other interests in various sports, Lyndsey quickly realised that the benefits of embracing an esoteric practice were broader than the mere physical aspects.
