In The Flow Yoga Studio, Crows Nest
Tarah first encountered Yoga in 2001 and has been practicing ever
since. Starting with classes offered through her high school and
progressing to do courses in Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga. Tarah was
drawn to deepen her practice and so completed a diploma of Hatha Yoga
teacher training at Qi Yoga and Natural Therapies, Sydney 2010. Inspired
by her teachers and seeing the impacts of a regular Yoga practice for a
balanced life she was compelled to share her experience of Yoga with
others and realised this was just the beginning.
Having worked in fashion for the past 6 years, Tarah now combines her
passion for creativity and design into the flow of her classes. Classes
ranging from restorative therapeutics and meditation, deepening yin to
dynamic Yoga flow. Are laced with music, encouraging fluid movement and
playfulness in practice, Tarah helps students be present and true to
their intentions. Her interest in the philosophy and science of Yoga as
a healing modality and path to happiness has continued to grow over the
years. She helps students discover their potential through asana,
pranayama, sound and meditation. Her passion for Yoga has given her a
strong interest in therapeutic applications and the art of adjusting. An
important element of her instruction is to instill the importance of
proper alignment in posture.
Yoga has a huge space in Tarah’s heart and is one of many loves.
Inspired by her family, friends and music, spending time by the lake or
sea, travelling and exploring, fashion writing, cooking and riding her
motorbike is what you will find her doing off the mat. Tarah also
volunteers for Enlightened Events, a company supporting growth in the
Yoga and Yoga Therapy community of Australia.
Tarah teaches regular studio classes at In the Flow a new Health and
Community Centre launched in 2011 in Crows Nest and locally in Sydney.
Tarah is also available for corporate and private lessons.
