After taking her first yoga class, Kris immediately recognized the positive way that yoga affected her body and mind. In order to be able to share the healing benefits of yoga with others, Kris completed her own training in 2006 at the school of Hot Yoga in Washington, DC. Since then she has continued her training in asana, anatomy, and yogic philosophy, in order to evolve her own practice and instruction. She also believes that her students are her greatest teachers and is continually learning through them.
Kris strives to make all of her classes a positive and welcoming experience for students of all levels. She emphasizes the importance of making your yoga practice and your mat a safe haven where they are allowed to challenge themselves without judgment. Connection to breath, listening to one's own body and laughter are all encouraged in her classes.
