Julia's love of yoga, music and adventure has taken her far from her hometown of Glasgow, Scotland over the last decade. Her natural wanderlust brought her to America as a college exchange student in 2001, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism. She spent eight years working as a radio DJ and music promoter for the recording industry in Kansas City, Vermont, Boston and New York City before deciding to fulfill a lifelong desire to teach yoga. Seeking fresh air, adventure, and the time to enjoy both, it didn't take long for Julia to settle on Vail, Colorado as her ideal playground. She moved to the Rocky Mountains in 2009 and currently works as the Yoga Director for the Vail Vitality Center, teaching soulful and dynamic yoga classes to serve this mountain community that... I took my first yoga class because I heard it would enhance my athletic endeavors, little did I know. When I landed in a Baptiste Power Vinyasa class for the first time my whole world began to shift from a life of competition and self-defeating behaviors to a life of unity and possibility.
