What is your favorite class?
I don't have one favourite class in this city, there are just so many incredible teachers devoted to this path who continually inspire me and challenge me to listen to my heart. Teachers who speak in a language that I relate to are: Clara Roberts-Oss, Tracy Groshak, Chris Richardson and Christine Price Clark. They are at Semperviva, YYoga and Babylon.
I absolutely love being at One Yoga for the People with my good friends, enclosed by warm brick walls and playing around upside down.
By far, I enjoy the quiet of my home and rolling around on the floor in long stretches with a cup of tea within reach.
What is your favourite piece of lulu to wear?
Flow Y bra / Power Y bra. Long Wonder Unders (those got me through the winter, I adore all the bright colours).
What is a goal you're working on right now?
to complete the BC motorcycle skills training course. Also a million yoga related goals that include practice, travel, video projects, published articles etc.
Where do you teach?
I teach at Semperviva and YYoga. I teach Power Vinyasa and the occasional Hatha class that I gear towards a preparation for Vinyasa. It is a pleasure to watch yogis flow through poses while breathing into their bodies.
Who is the most inspirational person in your life?
I have never been one to rely on just one person for insights and guidance. There are too many big brains and big hearts around me to limit myself like that! At different moments (at SFU, at yoga school, in relationships) certain teachers have broken me wide open, intellectually and physically. At this moment, I am inspired by those who let go of their attachments and travel around the world while doing good deeds for others. Anyone who creates music and performs for others is a hero! I am inspired by people who think, speak and act in simple terms. I am inspired by companies and people who support one another - to me this is faith and devotion.
