I was first introduced to Yoga in 1995. I had always had a keen interest in spirituality, as well as the art of physical movement, which culminated in fifteen years of dance training and two BA degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies.
In 2002 I traveled to China to research Buddhist Meditation, and in 2004 I moved to South East Asia, where I lived, practiced and studied yoga for the next 5 years. I began a journey of teaching Yoga Internationally and would spend long periods of time in Mysore India practicing with Sri K Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Institute. I was Authorized by him in 2006 to teach this method of Yoga.
In 2009, my husband, and I settled in Victoria, BC, and founded Ashtanga Yoga Victoria - An International Yoga Center for Wellness and Life Transformation. We teach daily Ashtanga Yoga classes in our beautiful studio in Market Square, and are surrounded by an inspiring group of dedicated practitioners that continually energize us with their passion.
Since our return to Canada, I have continued to travel to India annually to deepen my knowledge and experience of Yoga in conjunction with a practice of Buddhist Meditation.
With the birth of our beloved son, Jediah, in early 2011, the picture is complete - life is full & sweet!
