Aron started running in 2008 after she became bored with her workout routine and was looking for a new challenge. She had never run more than 3 miles before, but decided to train for a marathon! As the distances got longer, she fell more in love with running and after crossing the finish line to her first marathon in August 2008, she was hooked. Since then she has finished 11 marathons, including qualifying for and completing the Boston Marathon. She is the author of runner's rambles blog, where she has chronicled every mile since she started running back in 2008, along with everything else running. Jackie Perez is a Crossfit instructor and athlete out of Dublin CA. She played every sport growing up, continued to play Volleyball, Soccer and softball throughout high school and in college focused on volleyball. While attending Cal State Hayward she obtained her Bachelors in Science, Kinesiology in Physical Education teaching. After college she was hired at 24 hour fitness as a personal trainer. Walnut Creek Bikram Yoga
Kent is a yoga teacher at Walnut Creek Bikram Yoga. He's been teaching since November 2010, after graduating from Bikram's teacher training in San Diego. After taking his first yoga class in 2006, Kent immediately felt the benefits of hot yoga. For a number of years he couldn't sleep through the night because of lower back pain. However, after taking two Bikram classes in a row, his lower back pain was gone and hasn’t returned since 2006. "Bikram Yoga has changed my life physically and mentally. Kristin has played sports her whole life and has loved the thrill of taking on challenges and conquering new athletic achievements. Long distance running became a passion for her in 2009 when she took the challenge of training for and running the San Francisco Marathon. Since then she has run many relays, half marathons, marathons and various other races. Besides running, Kristin loves to snowboard in Tahoe in the winters and wakeboard on the Delta in the summers. She is a NASM certified personal trainer, an RRCA certified run coach, a pacer for the San Francisco Marathon training program, and a co-captain of the weekly team lemon run club in Walnut Creek. Lauri has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for the past nine years. She has completed in-depth studies with Richard Freeman, Tias Little, and Rodney Yee. Grounded in the ancient wisdom of the yoga tradition, her classes inspire students to explore beyond preconceived boundaries while gaining greater awareness of body, breath and mind. Lauri was a competitive runner, cyclist and skier during her college years and a dancer and gymnast prior to that. She was initially drawn to yoga to complement her sports.
