As a personal trainer, group instructor, fitness consultant and fitness educator, she has inspired clients, students, and fitness colleagues nationwide. Initially involved in medical health management, Debbie focused her training on those with special needs, such as obesity, arthritis, cardiac rehabilitation and the elderly. Ewunike Akpan
Having always been active, adventurous and constantly seeking new challenges, Ewunike decided to enter the 1999 AIDS Ride from Raleigh, NC, to Washington, DC. This bike ride was sure to push her physically, while allowing her the opportunity to participate in a very important cause. In order to prepare herself to meet the physical challenges of the long ride, Ewunike trained for six months with a group of people who were also participating in the event. Runqiao and Erin Du
Runqiao and Erin Du are both dancers with the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, a creation of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Runqiao, of Shanghai, China, received his academic and ballet training at Shanghai Dance Academy where he was awarded scholarships and graduated with honors as well as receiving a bronze medal in the junior division of the China National Ballet Competition. In his professional career, he has performed with American Ballet Theater, Chautauqua Dance Company, Cincinnati Ballet, and Ballet Theatre of Lima (Peru).
