Page Greenberg

Athena

Straight from Page, here is her story: I began to become interested in running after my kids were in college. Initially a "closet runner", I logged 10-15 mile runs on my tread mill. I was forced to run outside in the dead of winter 2008 when my tread mill broke from over use. This road running was a new challenge. Not only did I need to create my own momentum, I had to get over my shyness and my "poser" phenomena. I had to do this quick as Richard, my husband, convinced me to run the Broad Street 10 miler along with 25,000 other runners! Not only was I empowered crossing the finish line, but I knew I had 3 more miles in me to run a 1/2 marathon. I proceeded to run the Philadelphia Distance Run (now the Rock N' Roll Philly 1/2), and then the Philadelphia 1/2. The allure of the... Read the profile >>
